Swift Australia is both Australia’s largest food and meat processor. The Company was established in 1986 and is owned by Swift and Company based in Greeley Colorado. Our Head Office is located at Dinmore Ipswich, which is approximately 30 kilometres from Brisbane the capital of Queensland. Swift Australia operates four strategically located processing plants Dinmore, Townsville, Rockhampton and Beef City near Toowoomba, which in total process in excess of 1.4 million cattle per annum. Swift Australia is the largest purchaser of cattle in Australia, spending over $1 billion per year. Swift Australia operates four Quality Assured feedlots with a total capacity for around 100,000 Company owned premium grain-fed cattle. Swift Australia’s Prime City, Caroona and Beef City each were selected as finalist in the 2004 Elanco Feedlot of the Year Awards. Our Prime City operations took out the award for the second successive year. As a business we pride ourselves on our international competitiveness and represent approximately 26 per cent of Australia’s total beef exports. Our business is about producing safe quality products for our customers and providing a safe work environment for all employees. Other Swift Australia operations include Foodpartner's which is a value adding operations supplying restaurant and food service industry, Trading including the Swift Trade Group and DR Johnston Group and CTG Rendered Products. We have 4900 employees Australia wide and are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and a Self Insurer for the purposes of workers compensation in Queensland. Swift Australia is the Premier of Queensland 2005 Exporter of the Year, and also hold an ‘A’ Rating from Reputex under their social responsibility ratings.
